You can also use `propane enrichment` if you don`t have a

stethescope. As the engine idles, play a stream of propane

from an unlit torch around mating surfaces and vacuum

lines/fittings. Listen for a change in idle.

hey -i had the same problem with a 1986 vette l98 it sounds like you need a

valve job or the val;ve springs are weak or collapsed also check the back of

the plentum for a vacum line that goes to the heater control valve for leaks

also the cruise control system
