With the engine running, take a mechanic`s stethoscope and listen for
leaks around the throttle body, plenum gaskets, EGR valve and any
other place where you might think that there might be a vacuum
connection or leak.

You can also use `propane enrichment` if you don`t have a
stethescope. As the engine idles, play a stream of propane
from an unlit torch around mating surfaces and vacuum
lines/fittings. Listen for a change in idle.
